With Irene approaching, lake outflow increased

NOTICE:  As indicated in the Lake Hopatcong Water Level Management Plan 2011, the Hopatcong State Park Superintendent has notified the Lake Hopatcong Commission that there will be a departure from procedures in the Plan.  Due to specific local conditions, based on the Hurricane Irene forecast for New Jersey on August 28, the outflow will be increased to lower the lake level.  The Park Superintendent will notify the Commission when the lake outflow is reduced.
