Saturday, May 16th – Featuring Classic Cars
Jefferson Township Parks and Recreation will be hosting four mini classic car parades with the help of our local Police Dept, Fire Depts, First Aid Squads and resident Anthony Muzikar. These parades will honor Healthcare Employees, Essential Workers, and First Responders for their efforts in saving lives and fighting the Corona Virus Pandemic. Proceeds will go to the Junior Woman’s Club of Jefferson Township to help support the Power Up Program which provides Healthcare workers with much needed personal supplies and power bars. The township will be divided into four quadrants. Each parade will last approximately two hours. There will be one set of parades running simultaneously on each side of town from 11 am to 1 pm and another set of parades running simultaneously in the afternoon from 2 pm to 4 pm. Please realize that we cannot run classic cars for 9 hours straight like the Santa and Easter Bunny runs. We will cover as many streets as we can in each of the two hour shifts. Enjoy and help us salute our pandemic Heroes!
