Boat shrink-wrap being collected at Lee’s Park

MOUNT ARLINGTON – In an effort to keep boat shrink-wrap out of the trash so that it can be recycled, a collection program for this material will be launched on April 10, 2015, on Lake Hopatcong at Lee’s County Park Marina, 443 Howard Boulevard, Mount Arlington, NJ 07856.

A roll-off container with signs proclaiming “RECEYCLE YOUR SHRINK WRAP HERE!” will be located at the marina between April 10 and June 5, 2015.

Anyone who has boat shrink-wrap (bundled and tied) may deliver it to the marina and stack it in the roll-off container between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. every day between April 10, 2015 and June 5, 2015. The shrink-wrap should be stacked as far back as possible in the roll-off.

Please feel free to spread the word about the boat shrink-wrap program to various contacts. More than 86 tons of this material has been collected and diverted from landfill space through this program. Any questions about this program can be answered by calling 973-285-8394.
